THE PLAYERS GOLF COURSE

Golf Digest Best Places to Play

The Players Course at Bryan Park opened in 1974 is an 18 hole championship golf course layout, originally designed by George Cobb. The golf course was later modified by Rees Jones in 1988 and features many sand bunkers with several ponds and lakes. Despite the challenges, golfing enjoyment by players of all abilities is the main reason for its popularity.

The Players Course features what you’d expect in a Carolina golf course.  The Players Course has been on the lists of Best Course to Play and is a great layout for golfers offering generous Bermudagrass fairways and Bentgrass greens. The course layout with elevation changes and tree lined fairways leads well-undulated greens, true rolling, generous and fast.

Four sets of tees make The Players Course fun and challenging for golfers. Keeping it in the fairway off the tee is very important on The Players Course. From the Blue Tees, the Players Course measures 7,018 yards with a course rating of 73.3 and a slope of 133. The White Tees at 6,501 yards (70.9/128), Seniors playing the Gold Tees at 5,928 yards (68.5/121) and Ladies from the Red Tees at 5,337 yards (70.4/129) will provide ample challenge to golfers of all abilities.
