The Champions Golf Course

Golf Digest Best Places to Play

The Champions Course at Bryan Park opened in 1990 and has proven to be a Rees Jones design masterpiece. This 18 hole championship layout features 97 sand traps, numerous grass bunkers and hollows, and seven holes bordering scenic Lake Townsend.

Ranked in 1990 as the runner-up in Golf Digest’s list of Best New Public Courses, the course has since been ranked nationally year after year by major golf publications. The Champions Course remains one of the Greensboro area’s most prestigious public courses.

The Players Golf Course

Golf Digest Best Places to Play

The Players Course at Bryan Park opened in 1974 is an 18 hole championship layout, originally designed by George Cobb. The golf course was later modified by Rees Jones in 1988 and features many sand bunkers with several ponds and lakes. Despite the challenges, golfing enjoyment is the main reason for its popularity.

The Players Course has been on the lists of Best Course To Play and is a great fit for golfers of all abilities offering generous fairways and green complexes. The course layout with elevation changes and tree lined fairways leads to the greens – well undulated, true rolling, generous and fast.

Don’t just take our word for it…..see what people say about Bryan Park!

I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for Robin Caldwell, the Sales Coordinator at Bryan Park.  I recently had a celebration of life for my husband at the Enrichment Center, and Robin made stressful planning for the event very easy for me. She took everything off of my plate and was always a step ahead of me making sure that every single thing was taken care of.

If you’re serious about the game of golf and want to get an idea if how good (or bad) you really are, The Champions Course will be a great barometer. If you can get around this course and still feel good about your game, you’ve accomplished something. If you’re playing poorly, just take a minute and look around where some of North Carolina’s best golf vistas can be found.

The Players Course may not be as tough as its sister course. Just be sure to pick the set of tees that best compliments your ability. As you make your way around the course, you’ll be treated to scenic lake views which are worth their weight in gold when the leaves change color. The elevation changes and hazards add to the challenge of this wonderful golf course.
